Who Am I
My name is Yorgos Christoforou. I am a Dutch citizen of Greek origins, passionate about adventure and exploring the world with my bicycle.
For me, cycling is more than just a mode of transportation—it’s a way to experience the world in its rawest form.
In 2025, I cycled 2,500 km from Vught to Lisbon and raised funds for people forced to flee. That journey taught me something: adventures become more powerful when they serve a purpose beyond yourself. That is what I am now building with Active on Planet Earth.

A platform where challenging expeditions — by sea, bicycle, or foot — become vehicles for fundraising, personal growth and human connection.
Participants design their own fundraising story, join a real expedition, and carry the experience beyond the adventure itself.

Our Partners
We provide aid to the thousands of people who have fled and are stranded at the edges of Europe.
In Greece, we give them access to medical and psychosocial care. We also play a monitoring role and take action in support of a fairer asylum policy.
