My name is Yorgos Christoforou. I was born in Greece and have lived in the Netherlands for many years. I have always been drawn to physical adventures — cycling, sailing, walking, travelling slowly through the world and allowing the journey itself to change me.

For me, adventure is not only about distance, endurance or beautiful places. It is a way to become more awake: to meet the world directly, to move through uncertainty, and to discover what really matters.

In 2025, I cycled 2,500 km from Vught to Lisbon and raised funds for people forced to flee. Along the way, I discovered something important: an adventure becomes more meaningful when it contributes to something beyond yourself.

That experience became the starting point for Active on Planet Earth.

I want to help ordinary people turn their own adventures into extraordinary stories — and use those stories to support causes they genuinely care about.
